Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Project Manager (APM), you will report through a Project Manager on various projects. This will allow huge growth potential as you will be exposed to clients, design and construction team members, program and project management processes, and strong project leaders. As an APM, you will need to demonstrate professionalism in all forms of communication, attire, attendance, and work independently and as part of a team. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist in managing various stages of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Site Visits: Conduct regular project site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety and design standards.

  • Subcontractor Coordination: Maintain daily communication with subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met and issues are resolved promptly.

  • Scheduling: Assist in project scheduling, including coordination of resources, materials, and timelines.

  • Financial Management: Review and submit subcontractor pay applications, prepare client pay applications, and manage budgeting and project financials.

  • Documentation: Handle submittals, project design reviews, scope review meetings, and the preparation of necessary documentation for project delivery.

  • Meetings: Participate in preconstruction, owner, and team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and strategies for success.

  • Preconstruction Activities: Engage in preconstruction activities including budgeting, project planning, and utility coordination to ensure project readiness.

  • Project Closeout: Oversee project closeout processes, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed satisfactorily and customer satisfaction is achieved.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the construction industry.

  • OSHA 10 certification.

  • Training, education, or certifications in construction management, project management, or estimating are highly favorable.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Ability to conduct thorough site visits and project assessments.

  • Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
