S. Queen Street | Lancaster, PA

Redevelopment of the former Rebman’s building located at 800 S. Queen Street in the City of Lancaster. The project scope includes the demolition of existing structures on site; site work, infrastructure placement and the construction of a new, 70,854 SF mixed-use building on a 1.38-acre Brownfield parcel. The new multi-use building includes 52 total rental apartments on the 2nd & 3rd floors with two (2) apartments on the 1st floor and the remaining 1st floor will have 6,800 SF of retail (community grocery / convenience) store. The 52 apartment units include (42) 1-bedroom and (10) 2-bedroom units. Core elements include a fitness room, leasing office, mailroom and rooftop amenities including a garden & terrace.

Habitat for Humanity | steelton, PA

New construction of a 2-unit duplex located on Locust Street in Steelton for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area. The SWC team is providing pre-construction and construction services for these new 2,600-SF residences. Once completed, these new homes will stand adjacent to the first duplex structure completed by Steel Works Construction and dedicated in January 2024.

playa bowls | Lancaster & york, PA

Tenant fit-out at two existing retail spaces for new restaurant locations. Playa Bowls is a fast-casual chain offering customizable smoothie bowls and smoothies. Offering fresh, high-quality ingredients and various dietary options. Our team is providing services to convert these retails spaces into the new restaurant locations to serve these central PA communities.

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT | PENNSYLVANIA

New construction of a storage facility for a regional Department of Defense site. The new building will consist of 2,000 SF with one overhead sectional door and two man doors. The project involves site improvements, concrete foundation work, and electrical systems to connect to the existing power on site. The project site is adjacent to a child care facility and outdoor playground so minimal disturbance during construction is an important consideration. Our team is working to build community on a national level!

SMITH steam aCADEMY | york, PA

Renovation to the auditorium at the York City School District’s Smith STEAM Academy! The updates will create an extraordinary space that will provides the necessary elements for students to succeed. This pre-K through grade 8 school offers a unique educational opportunity for the students to focus on core areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.  

DT FIRM | harrisburg, PA

General Contractor for the redevelopment of the former AAA building on 3rd Street in the City of Harrisburg’s historic district. The project will involve asbestos testing with remediation where required, followed by interior demolition on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and selective demolition on the 1st floor. Foundation repairs will be completed at the basement level. Exterior work includes removal, cleaning, and replacement of granite from seven windows, reinstallation of the original brick to match the historic appearance, and placement of steel anchors and pins to secure the limestone trim. A 132-sf area of brick from the water table sill to the concrete sidewalk will be repointed. Interior renovations will create nine new office spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors, a new conference room, an event area, and an updated vestibule on the 1st floor. The bathrooms will be brought into compliance with ADA standards. New finishes and updated electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems will provide fresh and modern amenities.
