Four-story apartment building planned for Harrisburg

A four-story apartment building is planned for Harrisburg.
Sycamore Homes will be located on the on the 1400 block of Sycamore Street. The $3 million project will include 23 one-bedroom units priced at approximately $900 per unit per month.
The developer is George Fernandez and the Fernandez Realty Group. Fernandez said that housing will be prioritized for low-income people, identified by federal guidelines.
“We are thrilled and committed to help increase low income housing opportunities in Harrisburg,” Fernandez said in an e-mail.
Sycamore Homes is currently in its planning phase. The project hasn’t been approved yet by Harrisburg City Council. Upon securing proper funding and support, construction is set to begin in the second or third quarter of 2022 and be completed by the first or second quarter of 2023.
The contractor on the project is Steel Works Construction.
